Disengaged employee is becoming a syndrome that is affecting all businesses and despite all the efforts invested to enhance it. still engagement is not where it should be for the organization to thrive. I believe it should be looked at as a primary activity to any manager or leader. Specially at these times of uncertainty and global disruption.
You can never achieve departmental goals or organizational goals with employees who are doing the minimum just to pass the day or the task. If they are not 100% invested in what they do.
