Al Hussein Technical University, being an agile and young organization in Jordan is focusing on leadership effectiveness to serve its mission in supporting Jordanian youth’s pursuit of vocational, technical and applied education.
HTU had cooperated with Leadership Coach and Strategic Adviser Lina Ayesh to conduct a full program for HTU’s management team on Conflict Resolution.
Very comprehensive program has been delivered to HTU by the coach through diversified facilitation methods including coaching and mentoring for over a month.
Coach and Engineer Lina Ayesh said that Conflict Resolution is the key competency that assist us in fostering fruitful relationships that would support our success and achievements.
We do not deal with conflicts the same way. Our emotional responses and set of believes and perspectives determine how we deal or respond to conflicts in our life and business.
Also, she said that we all have different needs and aspirations that we actively want to fulfill. So how do we deliberately understand the real conflict and use the right mix of resolution strategies is key.
It was a great workshop! The examples are superb resources for learning how we can use the skills described to handle conflict. I didn’t realize there was so much into negotiation, I am so glad I had the opportunity to take this course. This cooperation follows many successful implementations for the program in Jordan whether in the format of workshops catering for the information and the research of Conflict resolution and effective communication domain or as a full-fledged program which gives participants the deep understanding of their and others’ needs and aspirations and hence to come up with their own resolution plans.
